Welcome to Okaloosa Gas District!

Okaloosa Gas District was created by an act of the legislature in 1953 as an independent special district, with member cities of Crestview, Niceville, Valparaiso and Fort Walton Beach.

The original system consisted of six and eight inch transmission lines from Cantonment to Crestview, then south to Fort Walton Beach with distribution systems for Crestview, Duke Field, Niceville, Valparaiso, Eglin AFB, Fort Walton Beach and Mary Esther. Service has since been extended to Destin, South Walton County, Hurlburt AFB, South Santa Rosa County, DeFuniak Springs and Whiting Field.
